Planned activities during the wine trip

Sunday September 30th: Arrival in Kiev.
Flying to Kiev (from Amsterdam with KLM). Arrival approx. 15.00 in the afternoon. Transport to and check-in in hotel "LYBID" (3-stars) in the center of Kiev. Promenade through the center of Kiev. At 18.30 departure to "Khata Karasia" Ukraine authentic National restaurant, dinner with folklore show.

Monday October 1st: Staying in Kiev.
Breakfast-buffet. From 9.30-12.30 City tour with a visit to "Lava Cave Monastery". Lunch in the center of Kiev. From 14.00-17.00 visit to "STOLYCHNY" Sparkling wine factory. Introduction to the company, excursion, and wine-tasting. At 19.00 dinner in the center of Kiev.

Tuesday October 2nd: Staying in Kiev.
Breakfast-buffet. From 9.30-12.30 City tour with a visit to St. Sophia Cathedral. Lunch in the center of Kiev. From 14.00-17.00 visit to the Moldavian Winery "Knyazhy Hrad". Introduction to the 50 years old wine company, the technology, the Moldavian wines, an excursion through the company, and wine-tasting. Very experienced and special accompanying and explanation by the company. The evening is free and there is no collective dinner.

Wednesday October 3rd: travel by luxe touringcar from Kiev to Odesa.
Breakfast-buffet. Departure at 8.00. In Uman visit to the famous Sofiyivka Parc and lunch. Arrival approx. 19.00 in hotel CHORNOYE MORE (3 stars - renovated rooms) in the center of Odesa. Dinner in the center of Odesa.

Thursday October 4th: Staying in Odesa.
Breakfast. From 9.30-12.00 visit to the famous wine research center "TAIROV INSTITUTE" close to Odesa. Introduction to the institute, the history, the wine-technology, the planned future, new activities, an excursion, and wine-tasting with 18 different and special wines inclusive a lunch-snack. From 13.00-15.00 city tour with ao a visit to the Archeological museum. At 15.00 visit to the famous "ODESA SPARKLING WINE COMPANY". Introduction to the company, excursion, and wine-tasting with 7 champagne-like wines. Fantastic ambiance! Dinner in the center of Odesa.

Friday October 5th: Staying in Odesa and region.
Breakfast. From 9.30-11.00 visit to a well-established old wine-company (1857) in Odesa. Introduction to the company, and wine-tasting. Departure to the traditional Ukraine village Gradenitzi on 60 km from Odesa close to the Moldavian border. Visit to the young wine-company "DIONIS Ltd". Introduction to the company, excursion and wine-tasting inclusive Shaslik-lunch. Explanation by wine-expert Lilia Borisovna. Arrival in hotel in Odesa approx. 17.00. After 18.00 promenade through Odesa and dinner in the center of the city.

Saturday October 6th: Travel by luxe touring car from Odesa via Kherson to Sevastopol in Crimea.
Early breakfast at 7.00. At 7.30 departure to Kherson. In Kherson visit to the oldest TAURIA wine guards and wine cellars. Wine-tasting on "Prince Trubetskoy's Wine-farm", introduction to the TAURIA fine brandies collection and after that lunch. Continuation of the travel to Sevastopol. Arrival approx. 20.00 in hotel "YARD" (3 stars). Dinner in the center of Sevastopol.

Sunday October 7th: Staying in Sevastopol.
Breakfast. From 9.30-12.30 city tour with ao visit to the famous PANORAMA (illustrating one of the battles of the Crimean War 1854-1855). Visit to sea aquarium. Lunch in the center of Sevastopol. From 13.30-15.30 excursion to "CHERSONESOS" ruins, a Greek settlement founded in the 5th century before Christ, inclusive a visit to the Archeological museum there. After that probably a visit to the most famous Sparkling wine-company in Sevastopol on Crimea, inclusive wine-tasting. In the evening promenade in the harbor area and dinner in the center of Sevastopol.

Monday October 8th: In the morning we stay in Sevastopol, after that we travel from Sevastopol to Yalta.
Breakfast. From 9.30-12.00 visit to the well-known wine company "Inkerman" in Sevastopol. This company is specialized in dry wines. Introduction to the company, excursion and wine-tasting. After that by luxe touring car from Sevastopol to Yalta via the beautiful coast road along the Black Sea. During this travel we will stop on some special points along the coast, like the symbol of Crimea "Swallow's Nest". Here we will take our lunch. Approx. 18.00 we arrive at the famous hotel "OREANDA" (4 stars), on the beautiful sea boulevard of Yalta. Dinner in the hotel.

Tuesday October 9th: Staying in Yalta and region.
Breakfast. From 9.30-12.00 city tour and visit to the famous Livadia Palace, former residence of the latest Tsar "Nicholas II" and well-known the Yalta conference with Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin. Lunch in one of the best restaurants in Crimea, the "Tsar cuisine" restaurant. From 14.30-17.00 visit to the most famous wine-company in Ukraine: MASSANDRA. Introduction to the company, the history, the wine-making, the wines, the future, and wine-tasting of different wines and an extensive excursion ao through the old wine-cellars and along a very special wine collection, started by count "Golitsin", with century old wines. Members of the wine-making family, for many generations the wine-makers of MASSANDRA, receive and accompany us and inform us during the wine-tasting. After this visit we go to the Massandra Palace, the hunting lodge of Tsar Alexander III. The dinner will be in the famous "Gorny Ruchey" restaurant.

Wednesday October 10th: Staying in Yalta and region.
Breakfast. At 9.30 departure to Alupka, visit to the well-known Vorontsov Palace and the Park. From 11.30-13.00 we go to the MASSANDRA wine-tasting hall, where we will taste different other Massandra wines informed by a wine expert. Lunch in the Tartar restaurant "Khosta Bash". In the afternoon we will visit the "Magarach research institute of viniculture and winemaking", founded in 1828. Dinner in the center of Yalta.

Thursday October 11th: Travel by luxe touring car from Yalta via Simferepol and Zaporizhia to Dnepropetrovsk.
Breakfast. At 9.00 departure to Simferepol, the capital of Crimea. Short city tour and lunch in Simferepol. Continuation of the travel to Zaporizhia, one of the centers of the well-known Cossack-culture. Dinner on the Cossack-settlement "Khortytsia Island" in the river Dnepr, in Zaporizhia. After that we travel to Dnepropetrovsk, where we will arrive between 22.00-23.00 in the hotel "ZHOVTNEVY" (3 stars - renovated rooms).

Friday October 12th: Staying in Dnepropetrovsk.
Breakfast at 7.30. At 8.30 departure to the wine company "Zolotaya Amphora" in the town Sinelnikovo, approx. 50 km south-east of Dnepropetrovsk. Introduction to this young but very ambitious wine company, the grapes, the wines, the future philosophy and an excursion with wine-tasting. Lunch from 12.30-13.30 in the center of Dnepropetrovsk. At 14.00 we will visit the wine company "LOGOS". Introduction to the company, the grapes, the wines, cooperations, an excursion through the company, and wine-tasting. Dinner in the excellent restaurant of the Jazz club in the center of the city, where we will get several performances and the dance lovers will have the opportunity to dance on live music.

Saterday October 13th: Travel by luxe touring car from Dnepropetrovsk via Poltava back to Kiev.
Breakfast at 7.30. Departure at 8.30. In Poltava we will have a short stop with city tour, visit to "Museum of Poltava Battle" and lunch with a menu "a la Peter the Great". Continuation of the travel to Kiev. Arrival in the LYBID-hotel in Kiev between 18.00 and 19.00. At 20.30 the FAREWELL DINNER in the center of Kiev.

Sunday October 14th: Travelling back by plane from Kiev.
Breakfast. The morning is free and there is no lunch planned. At 12.30 departure from the hotel by touring car to Borispol, the airport of Kiev. The KLM flight departs at 15.50 to Amsterdam. Arrival in Amsterdam approx. 18.00
